FOTD: Purple Sky

I was inspired by Mizzchievouz' latest video so I decided to create something similar to it. I didn't do mine as dark and dramatic as she did hers; I had to make mine a tad more subtle to make it work for the office. I also didn't copy her eye makeup entirely. I added my own touch to it, which is why I lined my waterline with UD 24/7 in Ransom and my lower lashline with UD 24/7 in Binge.

Her video tutorial on the MAC Style Black Look seems to be very timely as I had already intended to wear purple (well, plum, actually) eyeshadow today prior to watching her video. I originally planned to create a plummy-purplish look using my Warm Palette, but after watching her video for just 5minutes, I reached for my mineral eyeshadows instead. As you m
ay have guessed, I don't own any of the products that she used to create this look (except for L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara) from the Bat Black Cream color base down to the eyeliners.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I didn't overdose on bronzer today (compared to how I "over-bronzed" in my Kim-spired FOTD. I guess you can see the difference). I only lightly dusted my face with my MAC Matte bronzing powder just to add a bit of warmth and did a bit of contouring with it as well; nothing too harsh. I had to keep everything else subtle since my eye makeup is already, well, bold.

On Eyes
ELF Mineral Primer
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean
Bare Naturals Mineral Eyeshadow in Stiletto (you may use any purple eyeshadow) (apply on lid, passing slightly over the crease. blend harsh edges )

Too Faced Eyeshadow in Boy Toy (you may use any shimmery pink eyeshadow) (apply lightly on the brow bone blending into Bordeaux) and Milk Chocolate (highlight)
Fashion21 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils in Ransom (bright iridescent purple) and Binge (navy)

Skinfood Dark Circle Concealer Cream #2

Skinfood Dark Circle Powder
Everyday Minerals Original Glo Foundation in Golden Medium
MUFE HD Powder
Too Faced Brightening Blush in La Vie En Rose
MAC Matte Bronzing Powder

this photo was taken behind my apricot colored curtain, the reason why this photo's color looks a bit odd

On Lips
Maui Lipbalm
Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in Madison Mauve

In this photo, I topped Madison Mauve with NYX Lipgloss with Megashine in Orchid

For this last set of photos, I wore my Lancome cream lipstick in Love It! and topped it with Maybelline Shine Seduction Lipgloss in Born with It.

My review on the Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils is on its way!

Enjoy the weekend beautiful ladies! Smile, it changes everything.

Oh!!! Purple is also my favorite color, Louie. Well, one of my favorite colors next to black and white (which in reality, aren't colors). Thanks for the sweet comments, dearest.

Hi Yhen! Thanks! I'd love to see you rock the same look.

Thanks Angela!

Hi tish! I soooo missed commenting on your blog! I'm back now, so I would be waiting for more posts =)

you look sizzling as always. the face is enough to tell us you are really sexy. i like the pics where you used the lip color than the pics with nude colored lips.

Ah! I miss you, Abby! It's great to be back, huh? Actually, I prefer the photos in the second set. I don't have that much confidence to rock a bold colored lip. It's great for dates or a night out, but I spend my nights at work.

Thanks Charry!

This is really easy, but I'm sure you can do something much better than this. Your makeup skills are beyond mine.
