FOTD: Kim-spired

Here's a look I created using my Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette (actually, this is what I wore to work yesterday). As I have written in my review, this palette is a great addition to one's makeup arsenal especially if you wear more Kim Kardashian looks. I'm not a fan, but I have to give this classy lady merit for her always fabulously done makeup from the eyes down to her lips. Now if I only have that much money to have my makeup done by a professional. Le sigh.

With that said, I attempted to recreate her makeup using my Coastal Scents 88 Warm Palette. Of course I didn't do mine as dramatic as she usually does hers with thick black eyeliner all around the eyes and false eyelashes. I had to tone it down a couple of notches to make it more, "work appropriate," so to speak. However, the colors don't show up quite well in the photos below. M
y eye makeup looked a bit more dramatic and smokey in real life but... ugh, the flash killed it. I should probably reward myself with a new camera. Or, perhaps ask my beloved to take my pictures all the time, which hopefully won't make him suspicious.

And for more Kim-ness, I donned a black boatneck top from memo which I paired with a black high-waist pencil skirt cinched in the waist with a wide belt. To finish up my outfit for work, I slipped on my 4inch Steve Madden heels. I wanted to take a full body shot of my outfit but my beloved was sleeping soundly that time I was getting ready for work. Maybe next time. For the meantime, enjoy the headshots.

Here are a couple of shots taken using my phone. The colors don't come close to how they appear in real life, but I think they're decent enough. Not to bad for a camera phone, don't you think?

Till my next post ladies! Good night for now!

@MK: Yup! That was exactly what I wanted to achieve in this look, and I think I did it pretty well.

@Ida: Thanks, Ida. Oh, Dollface Cosmetics has their "warm palette" too. I think they [Dollface and Coastal Scents] get their palettes from the same manufacturer/distributor.

Pretty as always!

Rea looks really good on you. Did you layer it with any lipgloss?
I tend to look washed out when I wear Rea alone. :(

haha! Thanks Dana!

Thanks Tammi!

Thanks, Fifi. Yup! I look sick with Rea on, so I always have to top it with some gloss. In the photos, I used Maybelline Shine Seduction lipgloss in Born with It. Normally though, I top Rea with a mineral lipglaze from Revlon.
