FOTD: Bronzed Babe

Here's an FOTD from June. I honestly can't remember all that I used for this particular look except for the mineral bronzer from Purminerals and NYX Round lipstick in Rea (which I think wasn't the best choice for this look as it made me look sick).

My goal was to do a fresh and radiant makeup look so I dusted layers and layers of bronzer on my face to get that healthy glow. Apparently, I forgot to bronze up my neck so I ended up looking all fake. I had to rush to the restroom and apply bronzer on my neck all the way down to my chest to even out the color. I looked better after doing so; however, I realized that this (Purminerals) bronzer looks a bit orangey (my camera's flash just washes out the color) on me, which explains why I haven't touched the bronzer since then.

Anyway, just wanted to post these photos so I can delete them from my laptop. haha!

My failed attempt at doing the "pouty look"

I think it really wasn't that bad basing on the pics. But as you mentioned earlier, your camera washes the color. Anyhoo, you looked tanned here in your pic.

@Tammy_LA: Thanks for dropping by dearie! I actually just realized that I look so much better tanned, so I bask in the sun everyday. haha! But since this photo was from two months ago, my bronzey skin is courtesy of bronzers :)

@Becky: haha! Can you see how orange my cheeks are in the photo? ewww...

@Ra: Thanks Rai!

@Becks: haha! Thank you dear!

@Golden: I've been faking a tan since June. It takes a lot of effort on my part coz I look really pale without bronzer on. But I think it's worth it :)

@Mrs. Joshua: Actually, my skin tone's light; it just looks tan in these photos coz I overdosed on bronzers. hehe. I kinda like the effect of bronzers on me. I look healthier.

this is a nice look - bronze but soft and fresh!

Ooooh!!! Miss Yaya! You're too nice to say that! haha! I kinda feel like I overdid the bronzing. haha! But thanks!

you look so seductive hun, like as if you're trying to seduce all of us girls! LOL

& as far as forgetting to bronze your neck, what I do to prevent anything like that from ever happening, is I ALWAYS powder my neck just as much as my face. haha, I know sounds weird (almost like a waste of foundation & primers) but I'm like SO afraid one day I"ll walk out of my house with a totally different color face and neck, so I always blend everything into my neck up to my collarbones.

Dana you are too cute!!! Haha! Are you seduceable? ;)

That time, I didn't think that I had to bronze my neck, too, so I rushed out of the house and off I went to work until I saw myself in the elevator --- I looked funny. But yeah, like you, I always put foundation on my neck no matter what. I don't necessarily prime it first, but I never leave the house without dusting some foundation on my neck :)

I have never forgotten to wear a bronzer since I started noticing how healthy and glowing it makes me look. I love it!

I actually like the lippie. didnt make you look sick. I wish I can be sick and look like that haha :)

Haha! I've found a way to not look sick with this lippie on my puckers. I top it with a pale sparkly bronze gloss to add a little dimension and glow :) By the way, you're pretty and I'm sure you'd look far better when sick ;)
