Since the chilly -ber months are now history and with the hot summer months slowly creeping in, knowing how to survive the evil heat will score you plus this summer.
Say bye bye to tired and dull looking skin with at least 6-8glasses of water every day. What can be more important than drinking water? Not only does drinking 8glasses of water daily cleanse our body from toxins and flush out waste, it also keeps us hydrated. Sodas, coffee and other beverages will not quench your thirst; they will make you even thirstier what with their high sugar content. Also, being that water is calorie and sugar free; you will feel completely guilt-free even with 8glasses a day.
2. Wear Sunscreen
Never underestimate the power of sunscreen. The sun’s UVA and UVB rays damage the skin, cause skin cancer, aging and premature wrinkles. So protect yourself with a lotion with a sun protection factor of at least 35, just enough for the coming summer months.
Our eyes and the skin around them are both very sensitive. Direct exposure to the sun can impair our vision and can likewise cause the skin to dry, age and wrinkle. So to keep the eye area protected, wear sunglasses when basking in the sun.
Feel lighter and better by wearing light-colored clothes that are made of light fabrics that make the skin breathe and don’t stick to the skin. While dark colors can give the illusion of a slimmer figure, such colors like black, midnight blue, etc. absorb heat, making you feel uncomfortable on a hot day.
5. Shade Yourself
Our hair gets damaged from frequent styling, brushing, blow-drying, and coloring. But did you know that leaving our hair unprotected under the sun can also damage our crowning glory? So to keep your locks healthy and beautiful this summer, apply leave-on conditioner and wear a stylish scarf, cap or hat for an added oomph.
Have fun this season with this summer survival kit!
