Blast From the Past

I love everything in black and white. In fact these are what I consider my top two favorite colors. Okay. These two really aren't colors (at least according to "experts"). Experts say that black is the presence of all colors while white is the total absence of colors. Whatever. They're still colors to me.

Anyway, since I have been down in the dumps since Sunday and couldn't think of something much better to post on Practical Vanity, I thought to myself, "why not dig into the gazillion photos I have and post some of them?" So I did. The photos below were taken a year ago, when I was much much skinnier, perhaps around April or May. I used to model when I was much younger, especially after I graduated from high school. I also was a theater actor. I used to do two to three plays a year. I miss doing both of them; but with the kind of schedule that I keep these days, doing either would only land me on a hospital bed, and that's something I don't want to happen. Now before I even go about and rant about how much weight I gained over the past year (hmmm... about 10-15lbs. sheeeeeeeesh!!!), here are some of my favorite shots from the last shoot that I did, and no, I wasn't naked in the photos. I was wearing a black tube top.

One of my favorite shots; my friends' too.

I have a thing for dreamy shots.

The "dandruff shampoo commercial pose."

I have no idea what in the world I was made to do in this photo.

Love the shot. Can't explain much about it.

Some random bleh pose. It's more like a sweetums tweetums pose, in truth.

Not as good as I imagined it to be. The expression looks somewhat fierce though.

For some odd reason, my neck seems to look half its actual size, and I kinda look a bit pudgy, too.

Threw in a headshot for you guys.

Please don't throw up just yet. I'll be posting some product reviews (and hopefully some new FOTDs) in the coming days/weeks.

I miss the way I looked a year ago. My cheekbones were very much defined, my collar bones were popping, my hip bones were protruding. Stupid as it may sound, but I miss being less than a size zero (like as if there's such). I've been feeling less confident because of my weight gain. Okay, I'm not fat. I'm still a size zero, actually. But when I look at these shots and compare it to the ones in the previous post, I breathe a deep sigh and want to starve myself to death. Too much for looking good, eh?

Anyhow, I hope you guys are still okay after seeing my photos and after reading my rants. I'll catch you guys in a day or two with a product review. See you then!

girl those shots are super pretty but do not be sad about gaining a bit of weight!!!! I am sure you look as pretty as before and don't even think about the weight as you are very pretty! You have a very pretty face to even worry about the weight :)

@Gracie: You are so right sis! Black equates to class and elegance which is why I want my car to be black. haha

@Dana: Thank you, dear.

@Nikki: Thanks Nikki. You know I used to be anorexic. I don't think I still am, though I still struggle with it on certain occasions. I'm so scared of gaining weight ;(

Thanks for commenting on my blog, as well as, following! :) I just looked on your page and hot dang, you're one hot mama. I bet the students in your class are proud to have you as a teacher. :)

@Becky: Thank you very much. I'm loving your looks. I have to be more proactive and leave comments. hehe

@Ahleessa: Thank you for leaving such a sweet comment! Hmm.... I really don't teach nowadays. Sometimes I do, if I get requests from students. I manage the office now. It's a much bigger responsibility. I hope to see more of your Korean recipes. Would do them once I get some time on my hands.

so you started a new blog? :)

Tish said...

@Sugar: Yes, I did, simply because I don't want to flood this blog with random thoughts about my work as a manager. It's just my way of organizing my stuff. Thanks for visiting my blogs.
