This happened on the 18th of February 2009.
Upon arriving in the office a short while before 3o’clock, I noticed a tiny yellow box sitting peacefully atop my desk. With curiosity growing inside me, I reached for the box and read the uncanny scribbling written in pencil. The short note read:
“Tish,
Always take care
Namdo”
What a surprise. My boss has never given me any token of such in my almost two years of tenure in his company. He’s mentioned countless times, however, how important I am in his company and that he wouldn’t let me go, that he’ll find ways for me to stay. Sweet, but... Anyway, I just feel touched by my boss’ thoughtfulness. He was never known to be this way to his employees; and I’m not even sure if he gave any to Julie, his right-hand. Needless to say, his gesture was uncalled-for, howbeit in a good way.
Now onto his gift.
That tiny yellow box with the head of a sheep on it is a Lanolin Face Cream from Australia. It’s by Spring Leaf, an Australian company that claims to manufacture only natural products.
What the label says?
Spring Lead Lanolin Cream with Vitamin E
This formulation is specifically designed to suit all skin types. Enriched with quality Australian Lanolin and Vitamin E, it is non-greasy and is readily absorbed to deeply moisturize and nourish your skin.
Sounds good, eh?
But still a question lingers; what exactly is Lanolin?
Lanolin is a natural oil present in Australian sheep wool. This natural oil protects the sheep from the harsh elements and extreme weather conditions. Lanolin is also known as a conditioning emollient recognized for its ability to soothe and soften skin. (source: http://www.lifetimehealth.com/productdesc.asp?id=88)
Hmm... sounds promising.
What can Lanolin do for the skin?
According tohttp://www.lifetimehealth.com:
· Lanolin slows down the signs of aging
· Rejuvenates skin cells
· Nourishes and repairs skin
· Moisturizes and protects skin
With all that’s said about Lanolin, it somehow reminds me of my favourite moisturizer and miracle oil, Emu Oil. I have yet to try it although I don’t think I need it. Slows down the signs of aging? I don’t even look like I’m in my twenties! I look like a freaking 16 or 18year old to most people. Oh well. But if it does my skin any good (or even if it doesn’t), I’ll post a review about it. Surely that won’t be any time soon as I would like to give this at least four weeks to prove its claims.
Until then, ciao!
*I’ll post a picture of it soon. I have to rush to work today.*
