Tagging Along...

To get the ball rolling, here are my answers to some 40questions Nehs tagged me to answer way back in February.

SKINCARE
-How many times do you wash your face daily?

Since, I'm barely ever at home, I wash my face only twice --- in the morning before dolling up and in the evening before hitting the sack.

-What skin type do you have? (dry,oily,combo)

Like a lot of people I know, my skin type's a combination of sorts. At times, it's normal-oily (just the nose), at other times, dry-normal. I think there are a lot of factors that come into play with regard to my ever changing skin type. The weather, stress, diet, hormonal changes and the products I use have certain effects on the skin.

-What is your current facial wash?

I use Human Heart Nature's Aloe Vera and Guava Organic Facial Wash. Sometimes, I switch to any of the three --- Biore Pore Minimizing Foaming Face Wash, Biore Revitalize 4-in-1 Self-Foaming Cleanser, Kiehl's Centella Skin Calming Facial Cleanser, or any of the organic soaps I have in my stash.

-Do you exfoliate?

I do though I don't have a schedule for it. I exfoliate when I feel like my skin needs it.

-What brand do you use?

Just like everything else, I switch it up from time to time. I use Biore, St. Ives, Human Heart Nature.

-What moisturizer do you use?

Ever since I discovered that Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion was the culprit behind the milia around my eyes, I've since switched to Human Heart Nature Royal Jelly Day and Night Moisturizer. They're organic, effective, affordable, and Philippine made.

-Do you have freckles?

Last time I checked, none.

-Do you use eye cream?

Yes, though not religiously. *grabs eye cream*

-Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

Thankfully, no. I only get breakouts if and only if I use certain products and when I'm PMS-ing (not always though). So I wouldn't really say that I have acne prone skin.

-Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

Nope, and I don't think I'll need to.

MAKE-UP
-What foundation do you use?

I switch it up every now and then. At times I use mineral foundation, at other times I use liquid foundation. For mineral foundation, I use Bare Naturals, Everyday Minerals, Pureglow Minerals, Joppa Minerals, and Ellana Minerals. For liquid foundation, I use Maybelline Angel Fit Foundation and MUFE HD Invisible Cover Foundation (shade 140) when I know that I'll be photographed a lot on that day. Notice that I didn't include any Revlon foundation even when I have three of them? I'll say why in future posts ;)

-How about concealer?

Depending on the need, I use Skinfood Salmon Dark Circle Concealer Cream, MUFE HD Invisible Cover Concealer, Pureglow Minerals Tonic Liquid Concealer, Pureglow Minerals Eye Brightener and Eye Wake powder concealers.

-Do you know your undertone color?

I've yellow undertones. Sometimes, it appears golden.

-What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I think false lashes are handy to add extra oomph when attending special occasions. I wouldn't consider using these on a day to day basis.

-Did you know that you are suppose to change your mascara every 3 months?

Yes. I run through mascaras pretty quickly, so I change every so often.

-What brand of mascara do you use?

I use Covergirl, Maybelline and L'Oreal mascaras.

-Sephora or MAC?

I'd like to say MAC, but I think I'd much rather go for Sephora. They offer a wider range of products from a variety of brands.

-Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

No I don't, but I think it'd be great to own one.

-What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

I use the usual makeup tools every girl does: makeup brushes, q-tips, eyelash curler, sponges (rarely) and even fingers!

-Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

Always.

-For the face?

Yes. I think I've gotten so used to using foundation primers that I never ever skip doing it.

-What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

Even though I do play with colors at times, I'll still go for neutrals any day of the week. They're versatile enough to create subtle day looks and dramatic smokey looks.

-Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

I use all: gel, cream, liquid and pencil. It only depends on the look I'm going for.

-How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

I don't think I've ever poked myself with eye pencils, though I nearly poked my eyes with my new pencil brush earlier this week.

-What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

Pigment eyeshadows normally have incredible pigmentation to them but they're a chore to use. I still love them though.

-Do you use mineral makeup?

It used to be the only thing my skin can tolerate, so yes.

-What is your favorite lipstick?

Not going for any particular brand, but shade wise, I go for muted pink-browns and nudes for daily wear. On days when I need a burst of color, I reach for hot pinks and reds.

-How about lipgloss?

I'm not so particular with lip glosses coz it's something I can pretty much skip.

-What is your favorite blush to use?

I normally lean towards more peaches and warm corals but I've been having the longest affair with Too Faced's La Vie En Rose Brightening Blush.

-Do you buy your makeup on ebay?

Not normally, but I do when I find something that I like or need.

-Do you like drugstore makeup?

There are some drugstore makeup items that perform just as well as their higher end counterparts if not better, so I'd have to say yes.

-Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

I most certainly would if there ever was one in the Philippines.

-Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

Yes, and I have plans of pursuing it.

-Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

I don't think I'm clumsy when putting on makeup. I like to take my time in doing things. I hate being rushed.

-Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Other than mismatched foundation, I'd have to say blush that's not properly blended. Think *dolls* with those dots on their cheeks.

-Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick,eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I mix it up every now and then. I can do a totally neutral look on one day and do something colorful or dramatic on another day.

-Which celebrity always has great make up?

Kim Kardashian tops my list on this, though Megan Fox, Kate Beckinale, Natalie Portman and some other celebrities are likewise noteworthy.

-If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item,what would you use?

This one's a toughie as my dark circles are my main problem. I guess I'll go for tinted moisturizer.

-Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

I can and I do.

-Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

I think I look okay without any makeup on, though I've been told that I look 10years younger than my actual age.

-In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

It's hard to pick just one makeup line coz each brand is famous for something. But for the sake of answering the question, I'll go for Make Up Forever.

-What do you think of Makeup??

Makeup is one of man's most amazing inventions. It can change the way a person looks in more ways than one can imagine.
